Question:   What happens to my license if I am arrested for a DUI:

Answer: An arrest for a DUI triggers the suspension of your license for six months if you agree to perform chemical tests such as a breath tests or blood and urine draw.  However, if your refuse to perform such chemical testing, then your license could be suspended for a year.  Nonetheless, your attorney can demand through a hearing and within ninety days after you receive notice that your license will be suspended, that a judge prevent or lift any suspension of your license based on bad policing.  Such a hearing is usually referred to as a statutory summary suspension hearing.

 

Question:  How long would it take for my license to be suspended after I have received the notice that my license would be suspended:

Answer:  Fourth six days from the day you receive notice usually on the day of arrests.
